<aside> 👋 Hi! We’re Green Tile Social Club (or GTSC) — the first social mahjong community based in New York City. We started in 2022 as four 🇨🇳🇭🇰🇹🇼-American friends bonding over mahjong and our collective desire to reconnect with our culture. Over the past two years, we’ve expanded from our little Sunday game nights to a community of some 10K NYC Asian Americans — who gather and play at our monthly mahjong events and beyond 🥰

We’re Ernie, Grace, Sarah, and Jo — the cofounders of GTSC.

The four of us (alongside an incredible event volunteer team) take care of every aspect of GTSC. We work our own front doors, produce every poster/word/photo, create our events top-to-bottom, and lead our community as best as we know how (+ learning more every day) ☺️

<aside> ⚡ Last year around this time, we scrambled to launch a barebones website capable of hosting our event ticketing in less than a week. It’s held up well, but we’re ready and excited to dream up its next evolution — something that feels more reflective of our identity and the business’ growing needs. That’s where you come in ⬇️

We’re looking for a nimble, creative, extremely capable designer-developer duo to collaborate with us on building our dream website. Just like every GTSC project, we prefer to partner with Asian creatives and professionals who like to have fun while honoring our shared culture — though we also welcome allies to apply 🤝

Below is a snapshot of what you’ll do. Please note: This is just a high-level overview, we’ll share much more specificity as we get to know each other.
